Customer Profile: Baby Bahoonie

Baby Bahoonie Baby Bahoonie is a Vancouver-based online boutique selling eco-friendly baby clothes from around the world. We managed to interrupt the owner of Baby Bahoonie, Cinammon Bhayani, for just long enough to get her to answer a few questions about how she is using social media (and our GoSocial Store application) to reach new and existing customers.

How did Baby Bahoonie get started?

Baby Bahoonie began in January 2011. As a new mom, I loved the convenience of shopping online. After much thought and consideration, I decided to launch my own online baby boutique and sourced hip eco-friendly apparel lines from Canada , US & Australia.

Do you sell exclusively online? Or do you have retail stores/distribution also?

Baby Bahoonie is exclusively an online retailer, however we do offer free pick for local residents to save a little shipping.

Which social media channels have you been using to promote your store, and how have you been using these?

We have been interviewed through YouTube, we use Facebook to post new information, videos & photos, Twitter for small tidbits, Blogging to announce giveaways and reviews and we recently joined Pinterest to highlight our favorite things. baby in jumpsuit

How are you measuring the success of your investment in social media?

Seeing slow and steady growth of engagement and new opportunities presented that otherwise would have been left unheard.

Do you have any particular social media success stories that you can share?

Through social media, I have been introduced to new brands, current trends in my market, and even made new friends!

What made you decide that you wanted to have a Facebook store?

A Facebook store adds an additional element to connect with our online shop. Since Baby Bahoonie does not have a brick and mortar shop, we need to utilize every aspect of social media available to us to increase our visibility to our existing and potential customers. baby in red clothes

How did you come across our GoSocial Store application?

I researched Facebook Shop applications extensively. There are several positive reviews on the web regarding Wishpond, which led me to the GoSocial Store.

What have you found most useful about the GoSocial Store so far?

The ease of use to import products. I imported 100 products directly from my e-commerce site. Other apps are complicated and require manual uploading. GoSocial Store is simple and efficient.

Anything else you would like to add?

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by adding the GoSocial Store App to your page. Try it! You can check out Baby Bahoonie’s fantastic baby clothes on their website, babybahoonie.com, or in their Facebook store. You can also follow them on Twitter and Pinterest.
